Two Signs That You May Need to Contact a Tree Lopper

Posted on

There are several signs that you might need to contact a tree lopper and have them lop the branches off one of your trees. Read on to find out what these signs are.

The branches of the tree are growing over your patio awning

If the branches of the tree have begun to grow over the awning that is fitted above your patio, then it is probably a good idea to get a tree lopper to remove them. The reason for this is that the birds that land on these branches may end up excreting droppings that will then fall onto the top of the awning. Additionally, the dead leaves that fall off the branches may also start to accumulate on top of this feature.

This mixture of bird droppings and rotting leaves could make your awning unsanitary and give it a very unpleasant smell, which you may be able to detect when you sit underneath it on your patio furniture. This organic debris may also leave unsightly stains on the fabric that the awning is made from.

If this happens on a regular basis, you may end up having to periodically climb up on a ladder and then brush off the leaves and droppings before scrubbing the fabric with detergent to get rid of the stains and odours. This could be a tiring and difficult process. You can spare yourself this unpleasant task simply by having the offending tree branches lopped off by a professional.

The branches are hitting one of your windows

If the branches of your tree have been growing towards your window for some time and are now hitting the pane every time a gust of wind strikes them, then it might be a good idea to get a tree lopper to visit your property and lop these branches off.

The reason for this is that the branches will probably make quite a loud, irritating noise each time they come into contact with the window. This may be very annoying when you are in the room where the window is located — particularly if the area in question is your bedroom, as the noise may prevent you from falling asleep. Furthermore, if the branches have sharp ends or are covered in thorns, they may leave unsightly scratches on the glass pane when they hit it.

As such, if you want to sleep well and ensure your window doesn't sustain any further damage, you might want to consider having these particular branches removed from the tree.
